Key Stage 3
Mathematics at Sherburn high school is broken down in to 11 interconnected topic areas. During KS3 we will visit each of these once but also interleave topics throughout. Our aim is to enable students to gain a deep understanding of mathematics and to equip them with the skills and knowledge to further progress in KS4

Year 8
- Inequalities and review of Solving Equations
- Fractions Decimals and Percentages
- Number Properties
- Area, Perimeter and Volume
- Sequences and Graphs
- Transformations
Students are assessed regularly with topic tests at the end of each unit, end of term tests and end of year test encompassing all units of study.
