Year 13 students had much to celebrate as they opened their A-level results envelopes on Thursday 17th August at Sherburn High School. This cohort had the increased challenge of sitting their first formal public examinations but two years of hard work paid off and produced some stunning results. 

Students will soon be travelling to universities and apprenticeships across the breadth of the UK including Cambridge, Durham, Imperial College London, Newcastle, Warwick, Aberystwyth, Manchester, Leeds and York.  A wide range of courses will be studied including Medicine, Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Mathematics, Physiotherapy, Engineering, Psychology, Fine Art, Geography, Theoretical Physics and Zoology.

With 25% of our overall grades at A* or A, this is testament to the hard work and determination befitting of our Team Sherburn spirit from students, their parents and staff.  As a school, we wish the Class of 2023 all the very best in the next stage of their journey and we look forward to hearing of their future success as they make their mark on the world.

Congratulations to all our Year 13 students today. They have been an incredible year group and have shown such determination and drive since they began their journey with us in Year 7.  You've achieved incredible things and we are all immensely proud of you!
