Food Allergens in relation to Food products sold to the public under the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation No. 1169/2011
The canteen have allergy advice in a booklet for all products they sell. This can be made available to students at the point of sale, so that they can make choices based on accurate information about food products. There are 14 allergens, which will be referred to in the booklet.
• Cereals containing gluten namely wheat, rye, barley, oats
In addition, the Food Technology department and canteen aim to accommodate pupils with allergies/intolerances other than those containing nuts.
